VITAMIN-E IS: A Fat Soluble Supplement
ALSO KNOWN AS: Tocopherols, Tocotrienols

VITAMIN-E BENEFITS:
*Protects cells from oxidation, neutralizes unstable free radicals, which *can cause damage
*Protects other antioxidants from being oxidized
*Prevents degenerative diseases (heart, strokes, arthritis, senility, *diabetes, cancer)
*Assists in fighting heart disease and cancers
*Essential for red blood cells, helps with cellular respiration
*Protects body from pollution, especially the lungs
*Useful in preventing blood clots, promotes fertility
*Reduces/Prevents hot flashes
*May see increase in stamina and endurance
*Topically greatly affects helping skin look younger
*Promotes healing and lowers risk of scar tissue forming
*Helps with eczema, skin ulcers, cold sores and shingles

SUPPLEMENTAL E IS:
An "Essential" vitamin, which means,
It cannot be produced from within, or not in sufficienct amounts
It must be found in food, supplements
Lost in food processing (milling, cooking, freezing, long storage, exposure to air)

VITAMIN SOURCES:
nuts, oils, vegetables, sunflower seeds, whole grains, spinach, seeds, wheat oils,
asparagus, avocado, beef, seafood, apples, carrots, celery

DEFICIENCY SIGNS:
Not Common
may include fatigue
inflamed varicose veings
wounds healing slow
premature aging and sub-fertility
acne, anemia, muscle disease, dementia
cancers, gallstones, shortened red blood cell life span
spontaneous abortion, uterine degeneration

TOXIC:
levels not easily reached

TOXICITY SIGNS:
diarrhea
nausea
abdominal wind

RDA:
if on anticoagulant you should not take more than 1200 iu per day
10mg for Men per day
8mg for Women per day
these are minimum

MORE MAY BE REQUIRED IF:
Your diet is high in refined carbohydrates, fried foods or fat
You are taking birth control or HRT
You have pre-menstrual cramps, menopausal hot flashes
You have had a stroke, suffering from heart disease
You are exposed to pollution, or suffer from poor circulatoin
